Dr. Hisham is a Senior Consultant in Infectious Diseases at Hamad General Hospital in Qatar and a Professor of Medicine in the Division of Internal Medicine at the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Tripoli. He is currently the antimicrobial stewardship lead at Hamad Medical Corporation.
Dr. Hisham received his M.B and Ch.B. (MD) from Tripoli Medical University at Tripoli in Libya. He finished his training in Internal Medicine at Nottingham in Dundee and became a Consultant in Manchester in the UK. Dr Hisham has extensive experience in medical education, teaching postgraduate residents and fellows as well as undergraduate medical students. He was an examiner for the MRCP PACES exam in the UK and served as an official Arab board and Libyan board examiner for internal medicine. Dr. Hisham has published more than 50 articles in peer reviewed medical journals and is an editorial board member and reviewer for a number of international medical journals.
In addition to being a member of many regional and international professional associations and societies, he has been invited as a speaker to a number of regional and international conferences.
